Christmas gifts I made this year...

I made this to be a wall hanging
but my daughter said she
would rather have a lap quilt out of it,
soooooooooooooooooo I made it
a small lap quilt.
She loved it.
All that matters...
took me since September to do this one...
this next year I will start earlier!!!

holiday decorating started. Some people
are done with all that...I usually am but this
year just got a late start.
Since I am re-vamping
the ornaments...
I know I should of started earlier

than Sept.
Be blessed!

Ornaments...

I am going to make more of these...
they turned out just as I had planned
and if you are a crafter you know sometimes
that doesn't always work out like that...lol~
Just thought I would share these ideas with you all....
Try making them....
the rag rose takes few mins to make but they are well
worth the effort as they are so vintage looking~and
it's only muslin!
~ Jeri

These pink pine cones have ...

turned out so wonderful...
I am going crazy over this pink and white Christmas.... :)
I have pink fever now for sure!
When I was a child I loved the color purple...
but it has now taken a back seat to PINK for sure.

Pink Pinecone

I couldn't resist trying to make
a pink pine cone...oh I just love this.
My tree theme this year is pink and white...
This pine cone is way to big for the tree
but makes a nice home decor.
I think I might leave up all year long.

Started making Christmas presents already~

Well actually have been making Christmas
presents since bout mid August.
Sure do need to get started earlier this
next year as our family is growing and growing.
Who doesn't love a homemade gift...
especially from Grandma...or Mam-Maw
as my grandchildren call me.
These Tooth Fairy Pouches are simply adorable.
I am giving one for each grandchild.
I have six so far.
One I kept for Mam-Maw's house...just in case
one of the grandkids looses a tooth while
they are staying all night. :)
These were so simple to make and
all it takes is felt and thread!

Warshing Clothes

WARSHING CLOTHES
Build fire in backyard to heat kettle of rain water.
Set tubs so smoke won’t blow in eyes if wind is pert.
Shave one hole cake of lie soap in boilin water.
Sort things, make 3 piles
1 pile white,
1 pile colored,
1 pile work britches and rags.
To make starch, stir flour in cool water to smooth,
then thin down with boiling water.
Take white things, rub dirty spots on board, scrub hard,
and boil, then rub colored don't boil just wrench and starch.
Take things out of kettle with broom stick handle,
then wrench, and starch.
Hang old rags on fence.
Spread tea towels on grass.
Pore wrench water in flower bed.
Scrub porch with hot soapy water.
Turn tubs upside down.
Go put on clean dress, smooth hair with hair combs..
Brew cup of tea, sit and rock a spell and count your blessings.
================================================
Paste this over your washer and dryer
next time when you think things are bleak,
read it again,
kiss that washing machine and dryer,
and give thanks..
First thing each morning you should
run and hug your washer and dryer.
For you non-southerners - wrench means, rinse ;)

AND WE THOUGHT WE HAVE IT ROUGH
